This is quite an entertaining short documentary from Kilrush in Ireland, illustrating just how powerful the sound of music was at getting people of all ages onto the streets to celebrate their community and it's spirit. Some of the instruments look a bit rudimentary but they get the toes a-tapping with some tunes that might be familiar, but many that sound almost improvised. It's a single camera production and I found that really quite good for getting close to these self-taught musicians, dancers and those just out for a good time. Yes, the Guinness (poured from jugs) and the singing (in Gaelic and English) flows with equal enthusiasm - even in the rain, providing us with quite an insightful look at a grand day out.
