I like Daniel Greaves’s style of animation and I enjoyed this mischievous mix of techniques as his hand-drawn little man explores his new - entirely white and flat - surroundings whilst trying to escape them before he ends up in the waste-paper basket. Along the way he proves quite ingenious but also suffers some entertainingly cruel treatment at the hands of his rather unfeeling creator. Some of this is crafted in 2D with other scenes giving him that extra dimension, and the seamless way these are combined show off considerable skill from an artist with a sense of fun.
