Overview

During the reign of Emperor Wu of Tang Dynasty, Tang Ao, a scholar, failed in the imperial examinations and was depressed. At the invitation of his wife and brother, Lin Zhiyang, he sailed with a fleet of ships to do business and cruised around the four seas.
